Scholarly Advice

So, my industrial-organizational (I/O) psych class is an elective. I do not need it to graduate. I'm interested in the subject matter (hence taking the class), but my professor is a poor lecturer. His lecture on chapter 1 followed the book exactly. I felt like throwing my book at him (except that I left it at home). There is also a group project, which seems easy enough, but I'm sure I'd somehow manage to volunteer myself to do the bulk of the work. And there's this one girl that proved annoying on the first day of class and I may have to shoot her if she ends up in my group.

All this leads up to my 2 questions:
1) If I drop this class, I will be taking only 12 credits. And I don't need this class to graduate. So, would this in anyway screw me up as far as scholarship/graduation/some other unforseen event? (I think I know the answer, but want to get you all's input.)

And 2) Should I drop the class or keep it for an easy A?

um
