For everyone that picked a puppy, it looks like they're finally ready to go to their new homes. They're all fully weened now and can fend for themselves, so all of you can come and pick them up whenever you wish ( Read more... )

I hope your grandfather's health issues subside. I understand what it is like to have a grandparent with failing health. You always wish you could do something.

Good luck at your capoeira.

Thanks, Yagyuu. It's not been easy for us watching him end up like this. And the fact that he's on the other side of the world just makes it even more difficult, since we can't just simply drive over to his house to see him. I can't go with Okaa-san when she goes to see them this time, but hopefully my entire family will be able to make another trip out to Brazil during summer break. I just hope nothing happens to him before then. And I hope it won't be the last time I get to see him when we do finally get there.

Thanks. We'll be working hard at it so we can all join in at the tournaments. ^^

You're welcome. My grandmother's decline was quite difficult since she was living in the same house as us. I don't know if I could have handled her living on the other side of the world. I hope you are able to visit. Perhaps your family could bring them back to Japan for the remainder of his life, that way you could see him more often.

I'm sorry. It's hard for me, but I imagine it must've been even worse for you since you had to watch it all happen to her on a constant basis. Still, you got to be by your grandmother's side until the last of her moments and I envy you for that.
I...honestly hadn't thought about that. It's a possibility, and I just might mention that idea to my mother and see what she thinks. I'm sure she would be happy with the idea, though I don't know how much my grandmother would like the idea and my aunt probably wouldn't be too happy if we tried to move them further away from her, since she does live relatively closer to them.
But thanks for the suggestion.

Maybe your aunt could come too. I just think it would be terrible for you and your family here to not be able to be by his side.
