Mental Graffiti Slam Finals
Mikey went to bed on time so I was able to duck out and make it to the Mental Graffiti Slam Finals ans only missed the first 4 poems.
Though I am technically a co-slam master, its Emily Rose's show. I was already taking time off from the show before I knew Mikey was going to be arriving. I'm not going to do a play by play because I was too busy heckling judges but I will say, I had fun.
there were a lot of new faces and I didn't know who have of the people were. Lots of young, new poets stepping up but still a strong veteran presence.
As an outsider, it seemed like all the poets were in good spirits and kept the asshole competitiveness to a minimum.
In summary, the kids are alright.
