Ready Steady

I've accomplished what I set out to do this winter season. To get out and play. To take advantage of living close to a diverse selection of ski resorts. I've been to Hunter and Windham Mountain in New York. Mount Snow and Okemo Mountain in Vermont. Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts. I've been blessed with free ticktes, 2 for 1's and discounts from ski shops, a movie event, friends and co-workers. I still have some free passes to Killington, Windham and Jiminy Peak. All together, I think I payed for one ticket at full rate this entire season. It definitely beats being raped by Mountain Creek, but I gotta pay homage to the mountain that ate me and spit me out during my training days.

With that said, I've saved the best for last. With all the money that I've saved in tickets this season. I kiss it goodbye. In two days, I'll be landing in Vancouver, Canada, with two hours separating us from Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. Meeting me there will be Jamie, Dave and some other cats I never met before. I'll also be bringing a co-worker with me who has never experienced the pleasures of riding out west. He's in for a shock.

With 8171 total acres between two sister mountains, a 7494 foot peak, 120 inches of snow and counting, 200 trails, 38 lifts, a ski in ski out condo, outdoor hot tub, crazy nightlife and a positive group of individuals... I got it bad. Real bad. Just two more days and I'm there. Viva la Canada.
