I was asked to go with some close friends to Amsterdam, but I declined due to the lack of funds, the obligations at home, the sudden timing of the invitation and most importantly… the lack of funds. But after much pondering, I decided, shit… will I ever get another chance to go with the boys to Amsterdam? Will I ever have the freedom to go to such a liberated city in the near future when I have different obligations? How do I know that I’ll be alive a year or two from now because tomorrow is never promised and I always believed in living for today? Shit! I’ve heard all the crazy stories surrounding Amsterdam… the freedom, the culture and the history. Well, I have made up my mind. I have just purchased a roundtrip ticket to the unknown with the help of a good friend. Thank you Mr. Credit Card… Thank You!
Oh yeah... I tried to book the same flight that the guys booked, but the Airline they choose was asking close to $1000 for a roundtrip ticket. After some researching, I discovered that Hotwire provided the cheapest flights, but that would mean traveling alone with a different check in and check out time than the guys. Behold, patience would turn out to be virtuous… after constant refreshing on Hotwire’s website, the guys flight suddenly appeared on my screen like magic. I could not fucking believe it! Of course, this would be the deciding factor that pushed me to purchase the ticket… I guess it was meant to be. Thanks God! Amsterdam, here I come!
