Hurting All Over
Finally did one of those 100 mile century rides. Did a metric century (100km/62.2mi) last year but never got around to doing a 100 miler in 2013. Fixed that yesterday!
Little over 9+ hours on the road including all the stops (7+hrs moving) we took along the way. Not too bad supposedly for a first time 100mi ride. Group of four I hung out with for most of the ride experienced three flats. I was the first to get a pinch flat around mile 51. Person 2 around mile 64, and the final guy with his fancy new bike, at mile 94. Boy did I really appreciate having a CO2 cartridge when I got a flat. First time using one and it sure beats having to manually pump a tire!
Was hoping to get a good nights sleep, but guessing all those sore muscles made me toss and turn over the night. That better change this evening!
