It's award show season and I'm already a bit done with it. Golden
Globes were sort of anti-climactic. Screen Actors' Gild awards were a
bit campy. I didn't even bother with the People's Choice Awards. I
don't even know when the MTV Movie Awards are, and I don't care to
know.
I do think the next couple of award shows will be better. Oscars are
coming in March and my favorite Jew ever, Jon Stewart, is hosting. And
we have the Grammys next week on Thursday and
rumor has it that
Sly Stone may be making a showing. So that will be something to see.
But seriously, am I the only one who thinks there are too many award
shows? It gets to the point where you just don't care
anymore. Country Music has it's own award show that is separate
from The American Music Awards and the Grammys. I even think
there is a Latin Music Awards. Emmys are for TV (there are two award
shows, one for day and one for night), while Tonys are for stage, and
Oscars are for movies.
Anyway, I'm not very excited about any of them.
