(no subject)
Probably the perfect way to describe today is Sweet & Sour.
For one,it was a good day at school,a little boring but good.
After I got off of class at 11:30 I had a nice relaxing lunch of a flatbread pizza and a good book, then headed to the library and read some poetry by,guess who, Aleister Crowley. Read a poem by him that goes by the name of "The Rape of Death". It's about a Norman knight who runs away with his lord's daughter, defeats his lord's troops at every turn, and loses his love to an errant arrow while she's sleeping on deck. He then turns around and kills his lord and all the troops with him, and the poem ends with him sailing off to nowhere.
Here's my favorite excerpt from it, which happens to be the last stanza:
I wonder whither, and I wonder why.
No ray of light this sea of blood illumines.
I wonder whether God will let me die.
Just rips your heart to pieces when you hear the story,dont it?
Anyway,after reading some more, I get really sleepy and have a nap, then wake up to Natalie calling me.
Hadn't hung out with her in a while, so I meet her out front of the library,and she nearly tackles me on the steps, and I realized how much I missed that girl, she just makes me happy as hell. Can't help it apparently. So we go get her some books and then just hang out at Arby's for a while. It's days like this that I wonder why Im so irrationally afraid of some people. Especially when people like her make me so happy.
So we leave after I get a couple more incredibly awesome to the nth power hugs, and I head to work. Not only are we SO INCREDIBLY BUSY IT'S RIDICULOUS, but we have little to no prep at my station. Even with all of this, it's ok, because I'm so happy going in to work that none of the insanity that happened there could bring me down. Didn't get home til a little more than an hour ago though. So that kinda sucked.
Anyways, that's how my life is right now, and for once I'm somewhat happy about it :).
