[It's Valentines Day!

And instead of a relaxing day with various romantic interests, Torchwood is, of course, working. A small disturbance in the Force atmosphere near Ellis Island had caught their attention, and the afternoon had been spent sorting through various and unrecognizable debris that had probably once been a ferry

[Ianto is making his way across the room to Owen's desk when he hears the pop, turns - and gets a face-full of the glitter. He coughs, and tries to wave it away with the papers he's holding in vain.]

Didn't realize we were having a party today. [clears throat]

[doctorweevil]

[instead, he waves it right into Owen's face, way to go. Owen makes a face as he inhales it.] Maybe someone decided to stake a vampire in here.

[sorry, Owen. Except, not really.] So next time, we don't invite Edward Cullen. Cleaning up sparkly vampire innards is not exactly my idea of fun.

[shakes his head, trying to clear it]

What was that?

[doctorweevil]

Mm, yeah, I imagine it'll take you all night to vacuum that up. [he blinks a little] Are you feeling a little...weird?

High point of my day, that'll be.

I - [he shakes his head again, and takes a deep breath] a little weird is one way to put it. I can't really explain -

[he glances up at Owen, all of his tension seeming to melt away. He gives him an odd look, like he's never truly seen his coworker before.]

Owen... ?

[doctorweevil]

[Owen's eyes might be a little unfocused right now] A little squidgy in the stomach. [he grins at Ianto in a way that probably nobody at Torchwood has ever seen him smile before - an actual genuine smile] That's a technical term, by the way. Used by all the finest medical professionals.

[ihasastopwatch]

Squidgy, hmm? [he laughs quietly, not a 'I'm only trying to be polite' sound, but an actual one. And Owen has such a nice smile, why doesn't he do it more often?] Are you sure that's a medical term, and not referring to something else?

[doctorweevil]

[Owen shrugs, pretending to look innocent] Pretty sure, yeah. [he suddenly pushes away whatever he's been working on] Bugger all this, let's go get some drinks, yeah?

[ihasastopwatch]

[cleaning up glitter dust and odd feelings forgotten, Ianto grins] That sounds like a plan to me.

[doctorweevil]

[Owen rises from his chair, grabbing the jacket that's slung over the back] We spend enough time cooped up in this place anyway, I'm sure Jack won't begrudge us a few hours off. [his smile says that it might be more than just a few hours, though]

[ihasastopwatch]

Considering all of the time we've got owed to us, a few hours won't hurt. [Ianto raises you one mischievous grin, a quirk of an eyebrow] I daresay he probably wouldn't even miss us.

[Starts to make his way towards the door] So, coming?

[doctorweevil]

[Oh, that look is doing funny things to Owen, and he's not sure how long he'll be able to keep his hands off Ianto. He catches up to him at the door, glancing back at the office one last time.] I do rather think so, yes. [y helo thar double entendre]

[ihasastopwatch]

[Once he's out the door, he turns to Owen] So, we can go to a pub, if you want. Or we you want to go somewhere a little less crowded, but has a few more usable surfaces.

[doctorweevil]

[he arches an eyebrow and smirks, looking more like the typical smug and arrogant Owen] Usable surfaces, eh? So, my flat or yours?

Mmhm. Very usable surfaces.

Mine's closer.

[doctorweevil]

Right. Good plan. [Owen looks briefly distracted before he grabs Ianto and pushes him up against the nearest wall, kissing him roughly]
