I too am going through a nostalgic phase. So I dusted off this old journal, and I'm considering asking the same question. Facebook doesn't fill the void that LJ has left.

I hear you! This was a magical place.

Once upon a time, Twitter became my primary place to blog after LJ. It gave me the kind of community I needed at the time. I'm trying to get back into paper journaling. But it's the community I think I miss most.
