I used to be a medicine seller, and learned swordplay on my own...a friend of mine owned a dojo, and he and I and many of our friends his students came to the capital to protect it and the shogun from rebels. We're something rather like a police force, though i's more like an army at times. A lot of our members have come here in recent months, some of them from...some sort of parallel worlds. If you know Souji--a lot of people do--the Shinsengumi is his organization. He's my immediate subordinate. Captain of the First.
