A DIALOGUE I WISH TO REMEMBER:

Dec 22, 2010 19:43

SCENE: Cody and Terez walking back to the car in the streets of Austin after a fine evening at a delicious restaurant, Tacos and Tequila, and playing games at The Kung Fu Bar, discussing their relationship on the eve of their not seeing each other for nearly 2 weeks.

Terez (in nervous uncertainty): I don't know what to do with you. I didn't want to like anyone and now you're here. The distance...what should we do?

Cody (in nervous laughing response): I didn't want to like you! But I'll be moving closer soon and it will take off about 10 minutes of drive time. It's not much but it helps. I like you and we can do whatever you want, I'll understand if you don't.

Terez: You'll understand?

Cody: Actually, no, I won't understand, I'm just trying to be nice.

Terez (laughing and reassuring): Don't be nice. Just be honest. It's always best to be honest.

Cody (quickly): Ok, well, I want to be with you.

Terez (uncertain): But you won't. I don't think you will...

Cody: What?! I think I will. I think we get along pretty well! As long as you're not just completely mean to me...

Terez: ...I can't even feed my cat!

Cody: HAHAHAHA! Well, you're lucky because I can feed myself.

Terez (in quiet giggles): Hahaha

HAHAHAHA. I found that to be so sweet. Yep, I like her and want to be with her.
