Hm. Maybe I should just make this a Maroon 5 fandom journal. LOL
Maroon 5 Plan To Start Recording Sophomore Album In 2005
Maroon 5 won't start recording their sophomore album, the follow-up to 2002's Songs About Jane, until early next year, but they're already thinking about the future. Singer Adam Levine recently told the Salt Lake Tribune that the initial success the band has had is just the beginning. He said, "But you can never think you've made it at this point. We have succeeded on many levels, but it's so fleeting, and it can so quickly be snatched away from you. You don't want to take it for granted at all. We don't want to slow up."
Although Maroon 5 won't even begin working on a new studio album until 2005, they are keeping fans happy with the recent release of 1.22.02, a live acoustic EP recorded last year. Maroon5 are also on the road with John Mayer.
Once Maroon 5 wrap up the Mayer tour on August 29 in Atlanta, they will play a couple of state fairs, followed by a headlining tour overseas, beginning in Tokyo, Japan on September 29.
