Behind it all - Chapter 3

Jun 04, 2011 13:24

Nino met up with you and his family a while after the show ended. By this time, a lot of people from the audience have already left. He walked towards the three of you, wearing a black shirt, jeans and rubber shoes, you noted.

“Oh, Kazu-chan! I’m so proud of you!” his mother squealed, her arms squeezing him tightly.

You saw Nino’s face cringe a little, but he still smiled a small smile. “Mom, stop it! You’re embarrassing me,” he whined.

His mother finally let go of him, but left both hands on his shoulders. “I’m just proud that you debuted at such a young age. I never anticipated this.”

“Neither did I,” Nino muttered.

His sister patted him on the back. “Hey little brother. Nice outfits you got there earlier,” she said.

Nino’s face scrunched up in annoyance. “Shut up.”

She ruffled his hair a little. “Now let me be serious. Congratulations on your first official Arashi performance.”

“Thanks,” he replied.

Nino’s mother turned to you. “Nino’s sister and I are going to go somewhere for a while. Do you want to come along or stay with Nino and wait for us here?”

His sister said, “Let’s just leave here with Nino. She’ll probably get bored and tire herself out if she comes with us.”

“Is that alright with you?” his mom asked.

Not knowing what else to say, you answered, “Okay.”

“Alright. We’ll come back soon to pick both of you up.” And with that, they both walked away.

A few seconds later, an embarrassed Nino said, “Hey.”

“Hi,” you said back shyly.

After an awkward silence, you said, “You did a good job today.”

“If you consider humiliating ourselves by wearing weird transparent outfits, then yes, I guess we did a good job today,” Nino replied, a small smirk appearing on his face.

“With or without those outfits, you definitely did great today,” you complimented. “I mean, not much people can pull off those backflips and stunts all of you did earlier. And your song’s pretty catchy.”

Reluctantly, you sang, “Arashi, Arashi for dream” while copying their dance step whenever that part is sung.

Nino laughed. “Thanks for cheering me up. I really don’t think I’ll forget about those outfits for a while. Maybe I’ll never forget them.”

You were afraid to ask, but you did anyway. “Why did you end up wearing transparent outfits?”

Your companion grunted a bit. “I have no idea. Some people backstage just told us to put them on at the last minute.” He glanced at you with displeasure. “Go ahead I know you have something to say.”

“You certainly scarred me for life,” you said.

“If anyone’s going to be scarred, it’s me and the other members.” He thought of something for a while. You saw his distant eyes, seeming to be elsewhere. His lips curved in the way that they do when he’s deep in thought. You don’t know why, but you liked the way he looked every time he was thinking hard.

Unsure of himself, he said, “Do you… want to meet the members?”

You felt your eyes widen as if you were straining to see in the dark. “What?”

Nino shoved his two hand into his pockets. “Well, only if you want to.”

“Will it be alright for them?” you asked nervously.

“Don’t worry. They’re great to be with,” he said, a small hint of a smile forming on his face.

You still didn’t know what to say, so Nino pulled his right hand out of his pocket and grabbed your left hand. Tugging on your hand a little, he said, “Let’s go then.”

On the way backstage, two big guards almost stopped both of you. One guy glanced at the ID Nino wore around his neck and the other was eyeing you suspiciously.

You wanted to walk away because that guard was creeping you out, but Nino told them, “She’s with me.”

The first guard said, “I’m sorry, but we can’t allow her inside.” The second guard remained silent.

“My mom told me not to leave her alone, and I have to return our group’s dressing room. Can she come with me, please?”

The first guard whispered something in the second guard’s ear. They exchanged some quiet whispers between them until, the first guard said, “Both of you may go.”

Nino pulled your hand and both of you walked away briskly. You didn’t want to look back because of your fright.

Nino abruptly stopped, causing you to bump into him. “Sorry,” you said clumsily.

You both stood in front of a door with a sign. It said Arashi.

“, get yourself ready now,” your friend said lightheartedly.

As he slowly turned the knob on the door, you took in a deep, panicky breath.

“Uwa, Nino!” A guy exclaimed, standing immediately standing from where he sat. “Who is she? Is she your girlfriend?”

A/N: I feel embarrassed somehow -___-
But shouldn't Arashi be more embarrassed because of their legendary outfits? =))
And who do you think was that last person, who shouted out of the blue? ;D
