Different kind of March Madness
I've decided everyone and their brother has a birthday, anniversary, etc. in March. It really doesn't make much sense. Let's look at just the first few days of March.
March 1
Ron Weasley's Birthday. This one doesn't matter much to me, but I really should include Harry Potter birthdays in my list or else I won't get to celebrate Remus' on March 10.
March 2
My Grandpa's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Grandpa! Not that he owns/knows how to turn on a computer and has any chance of seeing this.
Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America Day. Can't go wrong with the Cat in the Hat. Yesterday, the kids I work with when I volunteer at the elementary school were making little Cats in Hats. A chocolate donut hole head, a white frosting face with chocolate chip eyes and a red hot nose, and cherry and wintergreen lifesavers (stuck together with more frosting) for a hat. It was a lot of fun, but can you say sugar rush?
Texas' Independence Day. That counts as a birthday, right? And I only remember this because my grandpa's birthday is on Texas Ind. Day and my grandma's birthday is on American Ind. Day.
The launch of metamorphed_fic. Again, that counts as a birthday, right? For those of you who may not know, this is a new archive for Remus/Tonks fanfic. If you are a Remus/Tonks writer, I highly recommend you check out their profile and shoot them an email to get all your fics included. If you are a Remus/Tonks fan, I highly recommend you check out this site because it makes it SO easy to browse the archives based on your interests to find perfect stories for you. I'm inordinately excited about this launch because I've put a lot of work into helping the lovely ladies who developed it design the layout and I'm really proud of it. I think it is my best layout to date!

gilpin25's husband's birthday. Happy Birthday, Mr. Gilpin!
March 4
My parents' anniversary. They've been married 31 years, assuming I've done the math correctly. Hooray for Mom and Dad!
wildmagelet's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Laura!
EDIT: gijane7702's LJ anniversary. Is it congratulations or condolences for having put up with this insanity for a year?
And that's just the first four days. The following week is as hectic and it just keeps going all month! I don't know what is with March. It is a very popular month.
