Rachael's Top 10 Reasons Dumbledore/Snape should be Canon...

1. mrstater likes the ship name Snapledore.

2. Remus: You deserve someone better than me. I'm too old for you.
Tonks: Too old? You've got just over a decade on me. Professor Dumbledore is more than a century older than Severus!

3. Uhhh.... Uhhh.... Uhhhh...

EDIT: Thanks to gilpin25, who will ( Read more... )

h. p.: ships: dumbledore / snape

Have you not noticed that mrstater is one highly disturbed human being when it comes to unlikely HP pairings? If you're not careful you'll be in the Snapledore Gang, like I seem to be somehow forever tarnished by association with Dobby/Kreacher! ;)

I've thought of another reason why Snapledore should be Canon - so we could all write lines like "Love means never having to wash your hair."

Hey, I only brought up Snapledore because I signed up to rec at crack_broom and a Snape/Dumbledore spanking fic popped up on the f-list...

And you're really one to talk, O ye of the Good Ship HMS Lycanthropic Feline. ;)

Excuses, excuses... ;) I see they've got Ron/Draco today; is that Ronco or Draron, I wonder?

And you're really one to talk, O ye of the Good Ship HMS Lycanthropic Feline. ;)

A ship of culture, grace, tartan plaids, older-woman-younger-man, and lots of fur. As opposed to house elf slash which has housebound elfs.

Wondering if I can get a subtle hint of Remus/Minerva into my fic, actually. ;)

Are you suggesting that there's more class in "Please, Miss, show us your cat" than there is in hard-working creatures who wear tea cozies?

I fail to see how attempting to argue the comparative merits of Remus/McG and Dobby/Kreacher does anything to help your case. You are a, if not the, responsible party for both of them.

Isn't Ronco that company that makes the Salad Shooter, and other useful gadgets? I wonder if that could be worked into the ship?

Ooh, I don't know, we don't have it here (er, what's a salad shooter, as my over-active imagination has just over-acted?;)), but it's got no end of possibilities, hasn't it? Ron and Draco gazing into each other's eyes over a limp lettuce...

I'm fairly certain Ronco makes a salad shooter. They make everything else so I don't know why they wouldn't have a salad shooter.

As to what is a salad shooter, I think the pics turned up on Amazon after a quick search could explain better than I. It basically just cuts veggies and spits them in your salad, and has lots of attachments so you can pick how your veggies are cut. Feel free to let you imagination run wild.

Now that's a handy tool! Of course, I'm visualising Arthur somehow getting his hands on one (a salad shooter;)), and Ron borrowing it for his romantic picnic with Draco ... and I may end up writing this if I don't stop immediately, lol.

Of course, I had to find out the truth and discovered that Ronco does not make the Salad Shooter. They do, however make the Pocket Fisherman and other amazing products mostly seen on late night infomercials. FYI (cause I know you want to know) the Salad Shooter is a kind of food processor where you put lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, whatever, into the top and perfectly cut pieces "shoot" out the bottom. Sounds a bit dangerous to me. More like a wood chipper than a cooking utensil but I'm sure Ron and Draco could put it to good use.

Of course, I've now had to look up the Pocket Fisherman as well, which seems a bit unfair on the fish, and that is one lethal looking object. I'm seeing Ronco in an interesting new light now I realise their idea of a romantic line is, "Come up and see my Salad Shooter and/or Pocket Fisherman?" lol

I believe it's standard issue equipment for Aurors....

She really is a bit odd. Don't tell, but she scares me sometimes...

...then again, I probably carry the most responsibility for Gay 17th Century Werewolves, so I probably shouldn't talk too much.

I love that! Mind if I edit the top post to include your lovely Reason #3?

I've heard her insist on being called Voldytater but let's keep that to ourselves. ;)

Help youself. Just don't expect to see me for dust when the Snapledore lawyers come round - I'll have my HMS Lycanthropic Feline Member badge on and be in my cat/wolf basket. ;)
