Rachael's Week in BBC Radio Vol. 41
I've listened to quite a few comedy panel shows over the past two weeks, but still haven't been up and around enough to get to anything else. Hopefully next week.
I'm super excited that the News Quiz is back starting on Friday! Otherwise, there's a lot of what I'd think of as midrange programs for my interests: stuff that could be good and that I'll download and listen to eventually, but nothing that has me super excited.

Comedy Panel Shows
Dilemma Episodes 3 and 4 of Series 1. Pretty fun but neither stand out from the norm.
It's Your Round Episode 2 of Series 2. The guests were fantastic (Sandi Toksvig, Clive Anderson, Humphrey Ker and Milton Jones) so it was a pretty good episode, but none of their games actually appealed all that much.
The Museum of Curiosity Episodes 4 and 5 of the current series (6). Episode 4 was kind of disappointing, but episode 5 was really good with lots of stuff about robotics, androids, artificial intelligence, etc.
The Unbelievable Truth Episodes 4, 5, and 6 of series 3. Episodes 4 was OK. Episodes 5 and 6 were fantastic with some great rule arguing in episode 6 in particular.
Fry's English Delight This one isn't really a panel show as it is just Stephen Fry talking about how awesome and interesting the English language is with interviews and the like thrown in. Whatever. I listened to series 4 which were episodes on the mouth, brevity, persuasion, and class in accents. It was all pretty good, though I think I liked the last two better than the first two.

Joan of Arc, and How She Became a Saint A silly take on the Joan of Arc story with Dawn French and other members of the National Theatre of Brent (e.g. Jim Broadbent, whom I love).
Titanium The early Russian astronaut program from the point of view of the second man to go into space and what it means to co-train with someone only to ever be the second.
The Wainwrights The BBC description of this starts with "Anarchic comedy-drama," which automatically appeals to me. It is about a man who hears himself on the radio, despite never having been on the radio and his quest to figure it out.
Terry James - A Madman of Convenience A historical fic based on the 1823 trial of a man who accused the king (George IV) of moral depravity (a.k.a. homosexuality).
William Wordsworth - Michael Dramatization of the Wordsworth poem about a shepherd and his wayward son.
Eric Pringle - The Last Piano Player A future fic about a man in 2020 who has to justify his existence as a musician. Its got Bernard Cribbins, whom I love.

Lew Wallace - Ben Hur Dramatization of the novel probably best known for the movie.
Martin Jameson - Ice A sci-fi adaptation of the fairy tale The Snow Queen
Weekly Multi-Episode Programs Starting this Week
Hermann Hesse - The Glass Bead Game Dramatization of a science fiction novel about a man rebelling against his utopian society. It stars Derek Jacobi.
Vent Series 2 This is a dark sitcom about a man in a coma listening to those around him and living in a fantasy world in his head. I've got series 1 but haven't actually listened to any of it yet.
Lenin of the Rovers This just sounds ridiculous. It is from the 1990s and is about a man trying to start a communist football club.

Unbelievable Truth, It's Your Round, and Dilemma are all running random repeats.
