Playing with the kiddies
As per usual, I volunteered at the elementary school this morning. I had an interesting conversation with one of my boys. It went something like this…
Him: I'm going out with you.
Me: Do what?
Him: I'm going out with you!
Me: How so?
Him: Mrs. Miller said she's going to have you play a game out in the hall with some of us and she said I can go! I'm going out with you!
Me: Oh! OK. If she said you could that's fine with me.
Before that I impressed a bunch of girls by "erasing" one of their crayons mistakes by scratching off most of the color with my thumbnail. I didn't know this was that exciting of an accomplishment, but apparently it is to a bunch of eight year olds.
