As if I didn't procrastinate enough already, today I discovered the LJ community
fandom_memes. I looked back over the past several posts and when I found this one, I couldn't resist. Well, I might have been able to resist but then I decided to share my discovery with
mrstater and she is apparently a bad influence. ;-)
The Challenge: Assemble a superteam from your various fandoms.
Your team must consist of the following:
Team Leader
Warrior
Smartypants
Hottie
Comic Relief
All your superteam members must be from DIFFERENT fandoms.
Bonus: Every superteam needs supervillains to fight. Assemble a bad guy team with the following members:
Master
Loyal Lapdog
Mad Scientist
Bloodthirsty Assassin
Lovable Failure
Like your superhero team, all members must be from different fandoms.
Rachael's Super Heroes Team
Team Leader - Kedyn's Crow (The DragonCrown War)
Crow is one of those guys who has led a miserable life and doesn't let it stop him. His own life is less important than stopping evil and making the world better for everyone else. He has a strong sense of right and wrong but he doesn't force it on others. He definitely leads from the front and by example more than anything else.
Warrior - Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)
From the first Star Wars movie, Luke proved he is a natural fighter (blow up a battle station first time ever flying a starship?). In the second and third movies, he developed beyond a fighter pilot into a swordsman and throughout the books and comics he's just gotten better. He can kick anyone's butt.
Smartypants - Azriaphale (Good Omens)
As an angel living on Earth since Creation, Azriaphale can tell you about pretty much everything in Heaven or Earth - except God's ineffable plan because, well, it's ineffable. He's also a bit behind the times when it comes to pop culture, but isn't that the hottie's job anyway?
Hottie - Tonks (Harry Potter)
Not only does she have an adorable little heart-shaped face naturally, Tonks can literally morph to fit any fantasy. If that doesn't fit the stereotype of a super hero team hottie, I don't know what would. Of course, she'd probably hex you into oblivion if you suggested something like that so probably best not to mention it.
Comic Relief - Methos (Highlander)
Methos is a very sarcastic 5,000 year-old Immortal. His dry wit probably doesn't fit the stereotypical version of comic relief, but it certainly appeals more to my sense of humor than would something more over the top.
Rachael's Super Villains Team
Master - Kronos (Highlander)
He was the Immortal leader of the Four Horsemen, real raiders who raped and pillaged their way across three continents before becoming the mythic basis for the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Kronos craves power for his band and will do whatever it takes to literally rule the world.
Loyal Lapdog - Darth Vader (Star Wars)
The poor guy has always been under Emperor Palpatine's thumb, no matter how badass he seemed when on his own. Yeah, Vader eventually turned on his master, but doesn't every loyal lapdog if given enough time and one small opportunity?
Mad Scientist - Brain (Pinky and the Brain)
Don't ask me why, but he's the one who kept coming to mind. I guess I just love the idea of a little mouse with a huge brain plotting to take over the world. Zoinks!
Bloodthirsty Assassin - Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter)
More than a little bit insane and perfectly content to kill on orders, Bellatrix is the perfect bloodthirsty murderer. Assassination might take a bit more work since subtlety has never been one of Bella's strong points, but that's a minor technicality, right?
Lovable Failure - Crowley (Good Omens)
Crowley is a fallen angel/demon who just likes people too much to cause major mayhem. What's not to love?
