More days of vacation
Soo.. B.C went great !
We had rented a small cabin ( sleeps 8 quite cozily) up in B.C. I had never been this far up before , it was fantastic . The only wild life we saw up there was a white tailed deer that came walking up the driveway (what little of one there was!) and stopped to stare at us humans while we ate hot steaming bowls of blueberry porridge . We also saw some elk and some wild horses in the vicinity. Lower down (on the way home) we ran into a small sized black bear and her baby cub . There were hummingbirds , wood peckers , an owl and a small mouse on the cabin veranda at various times . One bad thing , it would cloud over at night so I missed my favorite view of the stars . I would have stayed up there 6 months easily but I couldnt locate a shower bag in the city , and the one at the cabin had either been gnawed on by a bear or sliced up by someone else .
I will definately go back there , a clean well maintained cabin with so much hiking to do around it ( which we did two days ). The creek that runs along it is soooo cold but after a day of hiking around , crossing it in bare feet was sooo good . It was nice to see the clouds so low too , almost down to the cabin , we got some excellent photos; )
I think that was the most relaxing of the vacation so far , today we are going off to do our own thing .. Welsh Boys parents want to finish some shopping and Welsh Boy is dragging me to see StarWars 3 . After that we are meeting up to head to my older brothers for some dinner ....
Today was Sleep in day number 1. ; )
