blind cricket

I've spent too much time glewed to the computer listening to the blind cricket ashes over the past few days. Todays' game was just so so so so so so so exciting though! It ended out as a tie, of course I'd have prefered that Australia won but still, I think the result was probably better than expected, especially compared with how the previous three games went. England won the series but who cares about that at the moment. I may have gotten a little excited during the three games I heard, especially todays. I may have jumped up and down and ran around in circles and applauded. I may have shouted helpful things like, "run run run!" and "bowl him! just bowl him!". I may have screamed encouragement to people who couldn't hear me and in extreme moments of weakness when the excitement of the match made me forget everything else I may have screamed and whooped.

I basically feel just as I did after the vocal scholarship concert where everyone just outperformed themselves! It's the best feeling, even though I've done nothing. I'm just so proud of the Aussie boys and especially the guys I had the privelege of playing alongside for the national champs at the start of this year. Special congratulations to Cory and Matt who both played their first games for Australia this series and both did their country proud. I don't remember the exact stats at the moment but I might post them later when the score card is put up on the website.

Anyway, well done to all the players, including the English, it was a great series and maybe Australia will be able to claim the Ashes next time.
