somedays it's easy to remember why I love having a guide dog
It has been cold and wet today and very very windy. It is on mornings like these, when I have to go outside and tie up Diesel before letting Bonny out, that I occasionally recall never having to do such a thing with a cane. But then, when I'm walking around uni and it's so windy and rainy that I can't hear anything and she guides me perfectly; or when I decide to test her Memory out and ask her to locate a room we've not been to in a year and she finds it right away; or she finds a seat when I ask her and it's something we're not usually terribly successful at, I remember exactly why walking out in the wind and rain to let her do what she needs to do is worth it.
