Crazy sunshine- who can get enough?

So we did manage to get all ones at festival. And getting ones isn't a big deal...unless you get twos, and then it really matters. It was nice going into the festival and not having people (coughmostlyJoshcough) being completely rude and disrespectful, acting like we are the be all and end all of choirs. But it made it worse when so many people on the bus afterwards were like, "I don't know why we were all freaking out. We always get ones. We're so sweet." and then proceeded to get really loud-ghetto and making beats and stuff. I reserve my judgement until I hear our CD.

Alek got really friend-y with me starting Friday. It was fun, but it was kind of weird. Not bad weird, but unexpected weird. We're friends, for sure, and we're much better friends after Europe, but on Friday she was doing things like saving me a seat next to her in the auditorium and on the bus and checking where I was going to go eat or whatever at the mall. Yeah, most of this weekend at chamber singers camp was like that. I know I just made Alek sound dependant and clingy, but it wasn't like that. As a result, I spent less time with Adam than I expected to.

So, chamber singers camp ended up being amazingly wonderful. I'm very happy with the people who are in it second semester. Except Vivian decided not to show up for camp, therefore booting herself from chamber singers...but if we add another girl to take her place, I'll probably get moved to soprano and Ms. P will add another alto. That's what happened to Marissa the last time around and, honestly, it makes sense because the altos tend to be the better musicians. But I don't want to switch to soprano (and Alek, Carly, and Raquel don't want to lose me either).

There are a lot of things I could say about camp, but basically it rocked. And there was bead making involved. Nothing's cooler than having a sectional and turning around to see a bunch of high school boys playing with clay. I have an optimistic out look for this group.

And Xandi is fantastic.
