Yeah, I know. It's been a while. I just haven't felt like writing.
My job is killing me...nearly literally. We are at a severe staff shortage due to
so many being out on sick leave, maternity leave, dependent care leave, summer
vacations - plus we lost a few people who the mighty "Powers That Be" opted
not to replace. That's the way it's going to be: for every staff member who ups
and leaves, new staff will not be hired to replace them.
Sucks major weenie.
So, where we'd have five or six doing a particular job, now we're down to two or three and many times it ends up with one person finishing the job!!! My problem with this is I still have a
neurological pain disease (RSD) in my Left knee/lower leg, and all the constant standing and walking is taking a pretting big toll on me. Even the RSD/Brachial Plexus injury in my left arm/shoulder is acting up and causing a lot of pain.
Oh, and the migraines! I know the stress of the job is triggering them. WTF am I supposed to do? I take meds, I can't really do anything more.
For some stupid-ass reason, my stupidvisors can't seem to get it through thier thick sculls that I'm still on limited duty status even though I was cleared to work up to eight hours a day. They're taking it as I'm cleared for full duty when the orders CLEARLY state the opposite. I have weight lifting, pulling and pushing restrictions, and I'm only supposed to be standing and walking on a continuous basis only four hours a day. Interrmintent standing is eight hours, and standing six hours. Think they're complying with any of the above? Fuck, noooo.
Wonder why I come home every day to two Percocets.
Or an Avinza.
Thing is, the money is good. Arrrgh!
