First Sunday after Easter
The Angel cried out to the Virgin Theodokos: ‘Rejoice, o full of Grace!, and again I say rejoice, thou! For truly your Son has risen from the grave on the third day. Be radiant, be radiant, shine forth, o new Jerusalem, for upon you the glory of the Lord has risen up. Let sound, o Sion; be glad and exult, rejoice and delight, o pure Theodokos, in the arising of Christ your Son!’
