fic: Stories of Gods and Heroes [sg-1]

Feb 08, 2008 21:37

Am currently missing what is, I'm sure, a very lovely (free) concert. All polyphony and stuff that I'm usually thrilled about. But a body at rest wants to stay at rest, and so I'm still in front of my computer. (It's been a long week.)

For aella_irene, here is SG-1 as people from Greek mythology. I hope this makes sense to someone other than me.

The religions of ancient Greece and Rome are extinct. )

all fiction, fanfiction, miscellaneous fandoms, stargate

Thank you. Writing this felt a little like trying to pin my brains down on paper or something--all the images were there, but trying to order them into a readable whole took a lot longer than I'm willing to admit.

This is a wonderful way of ascribing the mythology to SG-1. Very creative, well written and emotive.

Sharing what I've written with other people is half the fun of writing, so when I stumbled across the comm, I was delighted. I'm mostly in the SGA part of fandom, and so didn't know where to go to let people know about this.

Daniel and Jack were easy--Daniel's practically wrote itself, and I mean that quite literally. My hand was doing the writing, but the words assembled themselves without any prompting from me. Sam and Teal'c were harder, but still came out pretty well, I think.

I'm glad you like it.

Oh, this was a wonderful story. I love the mythology intertwined in the portrait you give to each of them. Lovely imagery. Thank you for sharing.
