hi (and news)

I'm in the process of cleaning out (possibly deactivating) my Youtube account, so I'll be posting some of the videos from my favorites list here, so I have some way of finding them again. I'm also currently whiplashing between euphoria and utter terror over the job change, which is fun because I just spent 6 months watching my Dad do the same thing.

So far so good, for him, and I know I'll be fine once the transition's been made, it's just the inbetween bit that's very uncomfortable.

Congrats on the job!

I gave up on youtube when Google took over. I wasn't signing my privacy away ( and they wouldn't let me view stuff in links I followed until I did) when they told me in order to keep my account I had to sign up again and link to other Google stuff. So I ignored their messages until they dropped me.

I'm attempting to slowly disentagle myself from Google--doubt I'll ever manage it completely, but I'm slowly whittling it down to just Gmail. Or as close to that as possible.
