Written for kristen999's long-ago request, slightly tweaked. I do plan on writing all the others from that round of prompts, too--so keep an eye out, if you asked for something once upon a time and it hasn't yet appeared. It will, eventually, barring sudden disaster and the ending of the world

I had an awful lot of fun writing it, although it did languish after nos. 2 and 3 along the way. (For some reason, 4, the shortest, was also the hardest to write.)

Lovely, lovely!! I especially like that you wrote 5b separately from 4, which to my mind shows the chronological progression of Ronon's relationship with his new-found family in Atlantis. And really, I like them all so much, and the way they relate to each other and work as a whole. There's a wonderful sense here of Ronon as a whole person, who lived a whole life before what we see and know from the series, too, a life filled with people and events totally unrelated to his military service or the Wraith, or anything that we can extrapolate from his later life. Again I say, lovely! ^^

I think the disconnect betwen Ronon's life in Sateda and in Atlantis is a huge part of why I find him so interesting to write--it's not quite a blank slate, but there's huge potential to just play around and try to figure out who he was then and there, to wind up as he is now.

I figured there had to be at least one good thing that happened to him while he was Running--at least an afternoon where his life was more than just a waking nightmare.
