fic: thrice told

Eh. This is one of those stories that seems to be finished and then you prod it a bit and it wants to be longer and have a bit tacked onto the beginning and the end, but you can't come up with anything that actually holds together, and for a bit you think it's wonderful and then you think it's horrible, and then you think it's okay but probably no one will be interested, and oh, you're posting it later than you said you would, and it's not at all what was requested, etc.

But I do like it anyway.

So. Thrice Told, which is sort of a mirror to The Drift of Eastern Gray, but not exactly. In which I poke at John Sheppard's childhood a bit more and continue to ignore "The Outcast".
