I'm thrilled that you like Pod as narrator in this chapter and that you thought it was good pacing and storytelling. Whew. What a relief. :D It was a hard chapter to write in that I don't know Pod as well but I needed for us to GET to know him a bit, plus somehow fit in all that action, lol. I wish I'd had time to write a second chapter for him taking place later in this fic, just to revisit his character arc; but hopefully we'll see enough of his evolution through the eyes of the other characters.

LOL, thanks for pointing out one of my favorite Pod lines! I love that he's able to accept Sansa even after she's poked out someone's eye, hee hee. I mean, he MUST, right? That was one of the reasons I wanted him fascinated by Brienne's prowess, because at some point Sansa will have to embrace her own power, and Pod's got to love that part of her in order to love HER.

I'm so happy you liked seeing J/B through Pod's eyes. I must say it was a LOT of fun to write. And I think we've talked before about Brienne being the mirror Jaime SHOULD have had; that's why I like writing about their physical similarities (in appearance and abilities) to offer the reader that suggestion.

I'm glad you liked Jaime's and Petyr's banter; I wanted it to go on a bit longer, too, but I didn't think Jaime would stand for it, lol. Glad you liked Jaime's "death scene," too, because the thought of that just tickles me beyond belief, hee hee, and also is a hint of the kind of dad he COULD have been if he'd been allowed/encouraged to participate.

Oh, I'm glad you liked the kiss. You know, in the original draft I had him actually standing on Petyr's body so as to be taller than Brienne, but luckily I realized how completely OTT and absurd that would have been, lol. But I did want to show his bloodlust and let him indulge it for the first time in his life (and perhaps Brienne had a bit of her own, too? ;)).

ITA that someone should draw J/B spooning. :D

Wowee, those icons! I love them ALL, from the bath scene ones to Brienne moving her eyes (hee) and then looking so vulnerable, obviously all of the Jaime ones, this one of Pod (LOL), and I really, really like Davos smiling. A shame you can only use one at a time!
