A Swing in the Park, Sunday Early Evening

Oct 23, 2011 18:35

It wasn't that Kennedy was falling all over herself to get home in a hurry or anything; the opposite, really. Being back in Fandom made her really wish she could just stay. That wasn't so much an option now, though, not with a class schedule to finish figuring out before spring semester started and a bunch of kids at the youth center who seemed to really take to what she had to teach them, and when had real, almost-grown-up obligations snuck into her life?

Still, her portal wasn't scheduled for another hour or so, and she wasn't about to go running for the causeway to wait for it.

So, with a cup of herbal tea (gross stuff, but she was hoping it'd help with the whole sleeping problem) from the Perk, she headed down to the park and found herself a swing to sit on, kicking her legs idly into the sand and looking up at the stars. That was one thing she really missed about Fandom-- actually being able to see the stars the way she couldn't in the city.

The whole thing made her feel all... deep and stuff. It felt a little silly, but hey, might as well take advantage of it while she could, right?

[[establishy/just for the hell of it. open if you want, though; last time she'll be interact-able for the next several months.]]
