oh my god, it's been so long since i bothered to update this thing. Mostly because i'm lazy and have been busy but also because my computer sucks and keeps crashing... i'm at my mum's house now so i get to waste time on the internet, after being rudely awoken at about 8am to the sound of my uncle stripping the floors with a big fucking loud machine.
So anyway. This summer has been very strange, but i think in a good way. Queer Week was a success and loads of people came along, Mardi Gras was quite amusing with our shit excuse for a stall but we recruited quite a few people, and just generally met a lot of interesting people.
One of the results of this is that Chapter Arts Centre have offered us a regular slot there, on a Saturday night i think, starting off as a monthly thing and then if it goes well maybe increasing to fortnightly or something. So IF ANYONE IS A PERFORMANCE ARTIST, IN A BAND, A POET, ACTOR, WHATEVER, WE NEED YOU! ahem. It'll probably be along the same lines again - queer, riot grrl, more women-orientated than most nights (but that's not saying much in a city where virtually the only rock club plays literally NO bands with women in them, ever. Unless you beg and then they play Celebrity Skin. dicks.) So yeah, anyone interested let me know.
