Fighter practice and job updates...
Learned a smidge last night -- Was at first comfortable doing one thing, it was fluid, natural, and I popped Gareth in da head for a while. Then, kniggit-1 tweaked a sword position... just a bit.
Felt exposed, yet I was hitting with more authority, and had a certain shot blocked without thinking about it. But -- am hesitant, uncertain, and wonky, and also thinking hard about keeping it in it's proper place -- definately not taking advantage of it either. So, I got killed more while trying the new thing. It is almost seeming that I pick one thing up and FINALLY figure it out, admist the bruises on my arm while I am figuring it out, and I get one practice where everything is fluid, and then it gets changed.
Will let stuff percolate. Maybe in a few weeks/months it will kick in and be the comfy natural fluid thing that I'd like it to be. (and then something else will get wonkified)

Today, at work, has been an experiment with meeting rooms, people's schedules, manager's schedules, and making them all work out like puzzle-pieces. It is very appealing, and I get a bit happy when I finally get a difficult person scheduled (while going through 3 rooms, and negotiating other spaces to move folks to) Yes. I OWN-sor all the meeting rooms here. They are MINE.
I just got given the library as well for scheduling.
Puzzle pieces. This so appeals to my nature. Helping candidates on a one-on-one basis, making folks happy with how easy it is to get something done, and tweaking people's schedules, nay, I say lives. At least while they are here at work.
So far, I haven't found anyone tres-spiff here, but it is a general sort of happy place. I still have not spoken to many people yet either; that could be my shyness showing up, but folks are generally hoppping busy too. It makes the day fly by fairly quickly. The boss is mellow, easy-going, a bit higher paced than I, but not tweaky/flighty/twitchy.
I think I am going to like it here.
