Went with the square glasses, by the way... y'know... just in case you were wondering.

So. As far as this journal is concerned - as well as anyone who happens to read it - I might as well have just dropped off the face of the earth a month and a half ago. While a good guess, this is not entirely accurate. In actuality, I've been looking for a job, helping my grandparents move into their new apartment in Westlake -- and working on a project, one which has taken up a lot more of my time than one might have expected.

Said project might be familiar to a few of my readers. It's "A Final Fantasy," the tabletop roleplaying game I ran during my senior year of college. I'm finally putting it together for free download on the Internet (and just in time for D&D 4e, too...). The first document -- which I'm calling the Player's Instruction Manual -- is currently about 78 pages long. It probably wouldn't be so long - or wouldn't have took me so long - if I hadn't decided to design the book myself rather than using a template. (I did so, by the way, to try and catch up with the graphic design skills most web designers are packing... it was also a way of keeping myself sane while working in cubical-land.)

Anyway. I have a favor to ask from anyone reading this who has a spare moment. I'm hoping to "officially" release this e-book for public download this coming Sunday, and I'd really appreciate it if someone else could take a quick look through the book and point out any embarrassing typos/design glitches/navigation errors that I missed. (Just to be clear, really not expecting or asking anyone to proofread all 78 pages for me -- that would be dumb. Just would appreciate it if you could point out anything that sticks out to you.) I have a draft copy (temporarily) hosted at jonstout.net, which one might download by left-clicking this link and selecting "Save Target As." Again, would really appreciate the favor.

So that's what I've been up to. How about the rest of you?

Note to self: Items left to do today -- register for summer classes, send the PIM to request artists, start setting up tinwatchman.com.
