"I hereby forgive all who have hurt me, all who have wronged me, whether deliberately or inadvertently, whether by word or by deed. May no one be punished on my account."
- bit from the Yom Kippur service that I copied down this morning.
So I finally managed a proper fast, after all these years. I've never really managed to get all the way to sundown before. (On the off-chance someone doesn't know what I'm talking about,
bam wikipedia'ed.) That said, will admit to being amazed that Muslims manage to do it every day for an entire month. Respect for that.
So, what else to talk about -- well, there's the fact that my friend Ryan has yanked me into doing
NaNoWriMo this year. He was, in turn, ganked into it by a bunch of his allies-in-arms. While I've been aware of it in the past, I've never really managed to do NaNoWriMo in the past. Maybe it'll feel different if I try it as part of a group of people this time. Anyone who wants to keep an eye on my progress (or lack thereof) can do so
here, if you're interested.
