DC
First off, I just shaved, and my face feels naked. I've been trying to sport a goatee for a while now, but its not working too well. It can sort of be seen, but I figured I'd get rid of it and let it come back in with more color.
Moving on.
DC was really cool. My favorite part was going to Gulidette (sp?) University for the Deaf. We did a ropes challenge course there. It was really quite an experience. The deaf people are so incredibly nice. They're so close to each other, with trust and stuff. It really is amazing. I learned how to sign my name, and some other stuff, so thats pretty cool. I might wanna take a sign language class sometime, cause its really interesting.
Other than Gulidette, it was pretty cool, not as fun as my other trip to DC, but it was a really fun experience. Met some awesome people, and then had to go back home. Go figure.
Bah, I still gotta do a bunch of summer reading. Jane Eyre is such a shitty book, but I'm determined to finish it. I've heard mixed things about Sidhartha and I've heard that 1984 rocks, so I'm looking foward to that one.
I have a music/fine arts thingy in Chicago on the 16th-the 21st, and I have a solo on my trumpet that I gotta practice, I should start looking at it. Shouldnt be too hard.
Anyone wanna see the Fantastic Four sometime this week, or something?
