Dad's surgery went well. There wasn't much reason for it not to--it's a fairly common procedure, and recovery will be easier than with his shoulders--but he has a history with staph infections that puts our nerves on edge. He'll come home tomorrow afternoon and we'll keep him well-medicated, and creep through the house like mice while he sleeps for a week.
