Easter Beaster

Apr 08, 2007 23:37

These past days have been full of revelations; anorexia, pregnancy, and everything in between. It has truly been an Easter to remember, at least when sober.

I'm not sure which day Easter begins or anything, because I very much am stupid. But my last day at work was on Thursday. That evening the work gang met at one of the guys' place. There was also a guy from my High School, who with the other two guys I work with, were really popular or something back there, I think, because all the girls had crushes on them and they were everywhere. I just wasn't all that aware of anything back in High School. I had the fortune of meeting interesting people and the last thing we were concerned about was cute boys, girls, and going out. I believe we were more into books, movies, art and fun stuff you can do outdoors. Never the less the gathering was an interesting experience, because none of the pink-wearing-bitches were present, and it didn't matter that I wasn't pretty, they still knew my name and we had fun playing drinking games. How surreal indeed! Fun though, at least to me.

When everybody left to a bar, I went to meet Tuuli at the train station, after midnight. We went to have hamburgers and chit-chat, and I would've loved to continue with the others, but alas my only bus leaves at 1.40 and it had to be taken. Tuuli's bus came at that time as well and all was fine in Oulu. Next day I wake up mum informs me Riikka and her mother are already on their way. I quickly clean up my room, shower etc. and prepare to show off the baby horsie in the stables and play board games. It was fun, but oddly enough the mums won us at Compatibility! First time for everything I guess! Then I leave with them, go to their place and prepare myself for a little sub-party at a proper teenage party at Laura's house. After watching the Idols Riikka's dad took me to Laura's and the first thing I have to do before even entering, was to direct some little twat to throw up on the snow, not the stairs.

All the girls who had arrived to help Laura suffer her brother's huge party were driving, except me and Tuuli, like usual. So we drank, watched Idols, watched Family Guy, and talked about medical things. One time I went to the bathroom I heard some guys talk behind the door. "Who's there in the bathroom?" "Didn't you see her? Some brunette, her tummy was a bit bigger than usual." That kept me depressed for a long time. I mean, you never realise these things before you hear it from someone else's superficial mouth. God dangit... I'm a brunette!

Oh wellps, afterwords Anni drove me and Tuuli close enough to the centrum, we went to Kaarlehovi Bar to drink and talk about music mostly, I think, and then after 3 we went to have junk food. After we had finished, Tuuli went to a bathroom, and on her way back some guy asked her whether I, her friend, was available. Dutiful Tuuli told him the truth, but this didn't stop the what turned out to be a gang of three weirdos. The guy who had his eyes on me came sit next to me.

"I have a pretty good proposition for you two", he said.
"Um, we both just called our parents to come and get us, so we don't have much time", I told him truthfully. He ignored me.
"We are in need of a place to stay tonight, and you will give this place to us!"
"No we won't, but Hotel Tourist in front of the railway station is pretty cheap."
"And in return we will take you to Iso-Syöte (a skiing resort), where we have a cabin!"
"Oh yeah? To go to the middle of nowehere with two unknown men. That's exactly what I'd love to do!" I said, and laughed with Tuuli. At this point some guy behind us shouted "three men!". But I didn't want to look.
"We are serious!" says the guy.
"Listen, you really are wasting your time, so why don't you try to find someone who actually could find you a place to stay?" I still tried to be polite while we started making our leave. He forced me to stop and whispered;
"Do you think you could fall in love with me?"
"You're too late, my heart is already taken!" I tried to say as dramatically as possible, but in reality I was freaked, I tapped his head with my cell phone and started moving fast.
"Oh but this is just like in those romance films, first the hero and the heroine hate each other, but later they will fall in love!" he tried but we were gone baby. Jesus, some people are desperate. I mean, was he too drunk to realise I was a brunette with a slighty bigger tummy than usual? GOD.

Saturday morning was wonderful, because I had some time for myself. My grandparents were over and nan made me a dress. Some unpleasant things took place that were money related, but couldn't be helped yet, either. But that did make me sad. After a lazy day dad took me to Anni's place after taking my grandparents back home, and we had a fun night with the girls drinking, eating bread and buns Laura's parents had bought from a bakery "Bisketti" (after closing time, thus "old", thus a MOUNTAIN of them!), watching Borat and singing Disney karaoke. I fell asleep there so obviously didn't end up going out after all.

This morning I woke up, and realised the same evening we all were supposed to go see a friend of ours in the hospital. Her eating disorder had been a total suprise to me, but I guess I had been gone for a while. But anyway, I couldn't be bothered to go home, so I went to nan's and watched The Monsters INC. with her, not fully thought but... nice film. After that I met Anni again, and Tuuli too, we went to have some coffee and then to the movies to watch this Japanese animation about a little witch girl. It was pretty sweet. And then we went to see the friend. I thought she was pretty glad and her humour was still there. She had made me a bracelet... We had already planned to buy her this comic book, but couldn't yet because of the holidays, so she'll just have to wait. I told her I'm in town all the time because of work, so she should call me if she was bored.

Afterwords we, ironically, went to Hesburger to eat and waste time, though it was only about 7 PM. But there's always lots to talk about with a bunch of girls. Junk food's not healthy, but girl friends and talking are. Then I came home and here I am. I'm thirsty, AGAIN!

This is dedicated to my boyfriend who wanted to know where I've been.
