So, I finally collected together all of my various lists of commissions and consolidated them. Now I have to go through that list, contact everyone to see if they are still interested, work on the designs for the ones that are new designs, get approvals on the designs and price quotes (which can scare some people away), and make the shirts.
Assuming that I end up making a shirt for everyone on the list who had some sort of design in mind (as opposed to those who just said "I'm interested but I'm not sure / I'll have to think about it"), I have 25 commissions queued up - plus 6 of those "interested but not sure", and a few who might get more than one shirt in the end. That's more than I expected!
Time to get cracking! I think I'm going to stage my inquiries - prioritize the commissions, contact the first few about starting their commission, do those, then do the next few - I want to avoid having to write "I'm sorry this has taken so long!" more than once to any one person, this is already embarassing enough.
Anyways, for those watching, here's the queue:
Potoroo's parents, who wanted 2 t-shirts for Christmas gifts for their grand-children (how could I possibly disappoint them?)
Halex, who somehow sneakily (well, forcefully) paid in advance, which I usually don't allow (I hate having paid-in-advance commissions on the books)
Ramien Grey, who won the shirt at the AC auction and opted to trade it in for a custom design (which I count as "already paid", but with collateral, since he still has the auctioned bait-and-switch shirt)
Timber (taken at Feral! LAST year - over a year old!)
2 shirts for Herc (also from Feral! '07)
Siyahamba (because I was already working on this design, and then abruptly stopped, so it's sorta "in progress").
Anyways, that'll bring my maximum commission age below 1 year, with the exception of a shirt commission that Lutris won in a raffle/auction at Feral! some 4(?!) years ago - but even after several conversations over the years, he's still not sure what he wants; so while it's technically "paid in advance", I DO need to keep moving on it, but I don't count it as more urgent than those listed above.
Also on that list is a task to put a picture gallery on my website (Lionhearted.ca) so that the people who want something but don't know exactly WHAT, can have something to look at to help them decide!
And that's that for now!
