The Protest!
So, Phelps and crew were a no-show. However, the 100-or-so people who showed up, including our group of 10+, were in good spirits - it was actually a really fun time, there were some cool people around, and some great signs. ("Sodomy - Hell Yeah!" printed on a Canadian flag, was one of my faves.)
Here's a picture saviolo found and sent to me, you can see me in my lion costume holding the sign that says "Pastor Phelps leaves a BAD TASTE in my mouth" - it's actually a gorgeous fucking picture, though not a great one of my suit, which people had asked to see. The other two really visible signs were also ones that we made, and just about everyone in the foreground were part of our group - Dralen, Yennix, Fuzzmonster, Tron, Cras, Wuffwulf, Kimba, and Darqchild. I think only Patches, Wily and Robin (and baby Mastermind) are missing from the picture! They managed to get the most religious of the signs, too - oh well.
(I don't have a working camera and no one else in our group brought one - however, there were a lot of cameras there and I'm going to keep my eyes open for good shots, and re-post here. :)
