Tentative vacation plans...

So, I'm trying to sorta make some plans for my vacationing pleasures over the next year... and I thought I'd post them here so that readers of this journal can see if they might be able to fit me in somewhere during my travels.
I wanted to head out to the Rockies for snowboarding over Xmas / New Year's, but the CD-release has been financially quite hard on me (and I've done a lot of traveling / visiting this autumn, too) so I think that's out of the picture for now.
Instead, Damaron's invited me to his family's cabin for New Year's, which sounds to be a delightful way to welcome the new year... that'll put me in Michigan Dec 29 returning Jan 2.
That leaves me with Dec 24-28 with nothing much to do. I know Halex will be in Detroit in that time period and I know that Tora wants to go see him. I've been talking about doing a snowboarding trip in Michigan with nikvulper and eddiddiums and others, so... that might be a great time... I could bring Tora to Halex, go boarding & hang out with friends in MI, and then head off for New Year's. Maybe I can convince Torrle or fuzzybunny to come with... and maybe they could provide a trip back for Tora. If not, at least he has only 1/2 the bus ride he'd otherwise have.
Anyways, I need to get more specific dates from Halex and Tora specifically, and to know the schedules and interest of all the Michiganders and other snow-sport-enthusiasts involved, but I think this could be a fun and not-too-expensive getaway!
cerisewolf is supposedly going to be around in Feb/Mar time frame, and we've talked about going skiing. Blue Mountain was discussed but after hearing about Mont Tremblant, that seems possible too... we'll see.
I have friends on the west coast I've been meaning to visit for ages, and since then I've added several more people out that way (Seattle, Portland, Vancouver) that I'd like to get to see again... kachera, kfatone, smileetiger and rukatiger, tkat, edemarbre, tj_wolf, silfur and very soon kovucougar as well... probably few others I've missed. So I'm pondering a trip late in the ski season (April?) to fly to Vancouver, visit there, take in a day of boarding/skiing with some people, in Burnaby or somewhere there... then rent a car and drive down to Seattle and visit there, maybe take in another day of skiing/boarding near there with the locals... and then head on to Portland, OR and grab some time on the slopes out that way too! How awesome would that be? Probably drive back to Vancouver and fly back from there.
So, if you're out on that coast and would like to see me / ski with me, that would be cool... I'm also looking for suggestions of good ski hills in the area. I'd probably make it at least a week-long trip, and probably only ski 3 days of it, so don't feel like you can't see me if you're not a skier! Feedback obviously welcome!
Then I have 2 weeks of vacation that I have to take at the beginning of July (assuming I'm still at GM at that point), which I'm not sure what to do with yet (possibly sit very still and try not to spend money, given my current plans... or maybe a tour with the band)...
...then a wedding in Winnipeg in early August...
...Feral! in early September...
...and another wedding in Winnipeg in October.
That pretty much burns away my vacation for the year... I hope I get an extra couple days this year...
