In other news: Had a nice snuggle with Torrle last night, drank Mojitos (and then a margarita) mostly on his balcony watching fireworks downtown (anyone know what the occasion was?), talked a little bit about the changes I want to make to the fursuit, he glued some foam for me to that end, I got the pics and videos of me boarding in the suit this past winter (which will be posted later tonight) and it's all good.
Also, Feral! is approaching, plenty to do, I think I have the schedule all worked out, but I'll be sending that around for approvals tonight as well. Also, we just added a cabin-assignment program on the Registration page, so anyone who's going, go fill that out... and don't be freaked that there's no "log off" of "save" or "close" buttons, it seems to save as it goes.
Umm... meeting with HR went fine, getting a month off seems like a not-so-big deal, essentially I make an agreement with my boss as to when it will happen, and then just don't show up and don't get paid for up to 30 days. Hmm. (I ended up citing, as my reasons for wanting this leave of absence, my desire to 1. spend time recording and touring with my band 2. investigate further education options and 3. take a break from my hectic work life to consider my career path at GM. That seemed to be acceptable.)
Umm... that is all. Oh, and I'm redoubling my resolve to work out 4x/week, to eat healthier, eat less and to choose low-fat options even though they are less tasty... and to be stunningly sexy at Feral! ;) (Well, for a 31-year-old.)
