Cairns Australia
I've been in Cairns for a little over 2 weeks. I finished 2 weeks of work experience at a wildlife clinic and totally enjoyed myself! I got to see snakes and frogs and crocs and macropods and an eagle, a kite and a big mouthed bird/owl thingy.
Right now i am doing a 5 day scuba course to get my open-water scuba certification. We leave on the boat for 3 days tomorrow where we'll be staying on the Great Barrier Reef about 70km off the coast of Cairns. Very excited!
I believe we're doing 4 dives to finish the course and another 5 fun dives, one of which should be a night dive, before heading back to Cairns. TOTALLY stoked about this. The trip is paid for, meals are on the house...all of this for USD 586. I thought it was a freakin' deal, so I took it!
