(no subject)
So last night was pretty cool... but thats only cause I got to see some of my favorite people ever.
I spent my whole saturday lounging around, and then got in the shower. Lucy showed up soon after, and it took me 156215052 hours to finish getting ready, so she was reasonably pissed. Good thing I decided against doing my eyebrows.
So.
Eventually we made our way to Monique's show. I enter the door, which is at the top of the stairs, which means everyone looks at us. I get the edge of a panic attack and pull lucy back through the door. A minute later monique appears as if from magic. Then it happened.
Hardcore kids.
Jesus God... this was a mistake. I mean I figured that if a kick ass band like Hospital would be there, other cool people would also be there. No. I have no idea what the first band was called, but if there was any justice in the universe at all, it would be Ass Shit. They were a shitty cover band, but the 3 year old on guitar was alright. Next came Skatomasikist or some such bullshit. Lucy knew the drumer. They might have been alright... if they didn't play the same song over and over again. In the song Virus, they repeated the title about 15 times, and that kept happening. Same thing with the song Apokolips. And the word "Hey," was used a lot. Excessivly even. I think I heard an Oi in there too. I will now quote the singers. "Can we turn up the vocals?" "We don't need to turn up the vocals, we need to turn up the rock!"
God Christ.
Next up was Hospital, which I sang along with, and loved, just like always. Monique smelled punk rock. Right before they came on monique sent her mom to sit with Lucy and me. UNCOMFORTABLE. She found a gun in my mommy's purse... so funny. Right after that Lucy and I hightailed it out of there. Se came back here and played mario until it was time for her to go.

The fact that insted of an X or a line, or even a cute little panda, they drew a god damn anarchy sign on my hand...= not cool at all. I told lucy she should have asked them to write "republican," on her hand insted becase thats her political party.
