Mmmm, ego-boosting and hobbit feet.
Every once in a while, just to be completely vain, I put "BrieflyDel" into Google and see what I come up with. Usually it's stuff I've seen before, but sometimes seeing a new place you've been recced just warms the cockles of your heart, you know? "Prongs Rides Again" made a quotes page, and "Roommates" got a glowing review that made me feel like maybe I'm doing something right with all this fanfiction business.
Yesterday and this weekend were fantastic. I was just happy and I felt alive and pretty, the whole time. I came home after my Italian class, found some people from my dorm playing Frisbee on the Midway, and joined them after throwing off my shoes. Playing Frisbee barefoot in the mud is so much fun. I had filthy wonderful hobbit feet all day. The game ended when we saw a huge full-arc double rainbow over the campus. In the words of the boy down the hall, "it made me want to clap my hands and cheer."
It's almost obscene, how great it feels to be happy. I think it should keep up.
