Minnesota is shutdown
Well this is just super. Our Minnesota government is now in shutdown. They should really find some other means of political posturing, like taking the budget shortfalls out of the politicians' own paychecks (or maybe they already do? - I confess to know little about state politics).
In any case, I have to agree with Governor Mark Dayton. If I understand correctly, he's proposing to raise taxes only on those Minnesotans earning over a million dollars per year, whereas his conservative opponents want to cut firefighters, police, and special education to balance the budget.
