i could sit down. reflect upon life or more specifically my life. or rather ramble on about what i have done. yet...neither seems very enticing at the moment so rather than write some long, elaborate, complaining speech...ill treat you all to a very nice poem about a very not so nice war known as the Great War:
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
-John McCrae
little bit of history...think bout that poem and what inspired it, poems arent just words...in fact they are so much more...but thats something one has to figure out for himself.
*the many cool people in my delegation on p2p and i visited the Flanders Fields museum in Belgium...it rocked.
im out kidz...later. if ur into writing or poetry....lemme know...i love sharing stuff
