The past month has been a lot a lot of fun and excitement and learning and hard hard work. I have met a lot of interesting people and I received a certificate to teach English as a foreign language in nearly any country that I want to work in the entire world. And the country that I want to work in is the USA. There are many reasons that I want to be there, and many reasons that I don’t. The reasons I do want to be in the US far outweigh the reasons that I don’t want to be there. On August 20th, I will be getting on a plane to fly home all the way from Bangkok. I am very excited to be coming home to all of my family and friends. I’m going to come home and try to get my Master’s degree and then see where that takes me next in life. I am very lucky to have had the opportunity to travel to this beautiful place and to see and experience the things that I have done in the past month, and the things I will experience in the following month as well. I am grateful for everything that has happened to me at this point in my life and very comfortable with what I have done. As I said before, there are many reasons I am coming home, but I won’t get into them at this point. If you would really like to know, I’ll explain it to you with a beer by the fire in my backyard.
So I’ll be home in a few weeks, the rest of my time in Thailand is going to be spent hanging out on tropical islands (the horror!) and reading as many books as my brain can handle. I miss you all, and I’ll be home soonish.
Here’s some pics:
This is everyone from the course:
This is Nick, Ken and myself:
This is Gai, Anna, Ken, Goong, Ning, Leslie, Nick and me:
This is Anna, my dad, Dave, and Owen:
And this is me needing a shave:
I broke my razor the day I got here, so I haven’t been able to cut my hair for a week, I shaved my face with a straight razor for the first time in about 5 years almost three weeks ago. The real reason I want to come home is so I can get all this hair off of my face and head.
