I have a cat now, that my aunt gave me...it wasn't really up to me, it seemed. I went to visit my mom on saturday and she insisted that we drive over there, and then they handed me pet in carrier, food, and cat litter materials. I felt swept.
I think the cat has mange. and is possibly pregnant. Again, I did not sign up for this.
In good news, she's an amazing little cat. she follows you around like she's afraid you'll forget about her and accidentally pet something else. She comes running when you call her, and chases after ping pong balls. mom calls her dogcat. I call her bebe. she sleeps on my hair sometimes, and while she's a little intimidated by them (because of their size) she's game for "roach killing" if I tell her she should play.
I'm taking myself out of the dating scene here in town. If anyone wants to introduce me to someone not living in athens, fine. Funny stories in romantic adventures include the very recent odd complement "you look like a klimt" and then this, my favorite:
"hey, so we've been hanging out for a couple hours now - you've bought me a drink and kissed me...I'm summing up because that girl over there told me while you were in the bathroom that you have a girlfriend."
"yeah, i do...actually, you remind me of her a lot."
