New hair, new era
You know that feeling when you get a new hair cut, like a transformation or make-over is taking place? But really you just cut off a few inches of hair? Well, I think I have that feeling. Thursday I participated in a program that CWU's NRHH put on for Locks of Love and I donated my hair for the 3rd time. I called it an exercise in vanity, because I knew my hair was going to be really short (and I have NEVER had really short hair before) and the short hair might make me feel not beautiful...but that is vanity and true beauty should be more than just skin-deep or hair-long. It's really short, but I still feel feminine. I think it's a symbol of the change that is on its way now...
I am waiting so eagerly to hear back from UPS. They have a 3rd candidate coming on Monday and then I should be hearing back after that. I really hope I get that job. I really love it there: the students, staff and community. It's the place for me, I just hope I'm the person for them.
